Sidney COmmunity Education Foundation

How to Donate

The goal of the Foundation is to develop a long term method to finance school projects which the Foundation Board feels will enhance the quality of education in the Sidney Public Schools. An added benefit of the Foundation is to provide a method for the community members to make a tax deductible contribution or to procure a tax credit by their donation to this foundation. The committee is pursuing this Foundation effort and has successfully applied for and received the Articles of Incorporation, 501 (C) (3) from the Internal Revenue Service under the name of "Sidney Community Education Foundation, Inc."

Through the Foundation's efforts, our goals are to solicit and receive public donations, gifts, contributions, grants, loans, funds, property or assets from which to make distributions for the benefit of the Sidney Public School Districts. To date the Foundation has received over $30,000 in tax deductible donations.

Planned Giving

A planned gift provides the donor with the opportunity to do something worthwhile during his or her lifetime for a cause that they feel strongly about. The benefit of estate planning is that a donor can choose from a variety of gift vehicles that provide different types of benefits to both the donor and the organization.

Types of donations include:

  • Bequest
  • Outright Gift
  • Life Estate
  • Life Insurance Policy
  • Charitable Gift Annuity
  • Charitable Remainder Unitrust
  • Charitable Lead Trust
