Hello!
Welcome to 7th and 8th grade! I am Mrs. Pennington and I am so excited to be your teacher this year! This is my 5th year teaching. My husband and I are both born and raised in Sidney and are now raising our 1-year-old daughter Talia here. We have many pets including, two corgis-Stormi and Opie, a cat named Soup, and two miniature ponies for our daughter when she gets bigger named Gilbert and Mocha. Some of my favorite things are playing with my daughter, reading, and crocheting!
This is my 5th year teaching and my 3rd year of 8th grade. For my first couple of years, I taught 8th grade and, for the last two years, I have been at high school. I am so excited to be back at SMS this year! I believe my experience at the HS will be very helpful in preparing for that upcoming transition!
EducationI attended Montana State University and graduated with a BS in Community Health, and the University of Montana-Western for a teaching certificate in K-12 Health Enhancement and Special Education Endorsement. This fall I will begin my Master's in Educational Leadership with an emphasis on Social-Emotional Learning.
