I graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education (Emphasis in English) in May of 2014. It is both an honor and a privilege to teach 8th grade English and 8th grade Spanish again this year at SMS. I also coach Cross Country in the Fall and Track & Field in the Spring. In my spare time, I serve as a board member for the Sunrise Women's Clinic. Some of my favorite pastimes are Arts & Crafts (having fun with my new Cricut Maker 3!), attending car shows with my family, and tackling home improvement projects, as well.
My family is originally from South Texas, but Sidney has been our home since 2013. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Martin, for 31 wonderful years and we have four amazing kids...two of them got married within the last 3 years, so I guess that makes 6 now. I am beyond thrilled to become a grandma this year as my daughter and son-in-law are expecting their first child in November!
