I am providing a suggested reading list with varied genres, topics, and readability. The list is only a suggestion, but hopefully every student will find something on the provided reading list that will inspire or motivate summer reading. Accelerated Reading Assessments are a requirement in the freshman English Language Arts class. Each quarter, students will be required to have a certain number of A.R. points (entered as a participation grade). It may be helpful for students to read over the summer in preparation for Accelerated Reading Assessments upon returning to school in August.
All books will be available at the Sidney Richland Public Library. The public library will have the book list available for student access.
If a family chooses to purchase any of the mentioned books, the books can be easily found through Amazon or Barnes and Noble.
