Happy Administrative Professionals Day! 🦅

We can't begin to describe how exceptional Cheyenne Ryan has been since starting her career here in Sidney. She followed a skilled veteran instructor who really left large shoes to fill. Not only did Cheyenne handle the transition into the role, but she has also continuously evolved and improved the pathways she inherited, morphing them to fit in her own system. We are proud to say she continues to produce successful individuals. Miss Ryan currently teaches 5 different course offerings throughout the day and manages a coffee shop with the FCCLA kids. This opportunity provides hands-on experience and fundraising for her group. Not only is Miss Ryan an exceptional instructor, but she is truly an amazing person. She demonstrates a level of commitment, professionalism, and a willingness to provide opportunities for her kids to find success at all times. We congratulate her on this award and recognition from the state organization. We are fortunate that Miss Ryan continues to work with our families and us at Sidney High School.

The Sidney High School Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Program would like to inform our community that the Busy Beaver Preschool simulation will be closing at the end of the current school year and will not operate during the upcoming year.
Busy Beaver Preschool has been a valued part of the FCS program, providing high school students with hands-on learning experiences in early childhood education while serving local families. This decision was made after careful consideration of program sustainability, liability, scheduling, and the evolving needs of both our students and the school.
While this was not an easy decision, we are incredibly proud of the growth, learning, and meaningful connections that have taken place through Busy Beavers over the years. We are deeply grateful for the trust and support of our families and community.
This closure does not diminish the importance of early childhood education. Sidney High School will continue to offer Early Childhood courses, with a renewed focus on engaging with local community partners rather than operating an on-site preschool.
Thank you for being a part of the Busy Beaver Preschool experience and for supporting hands-on learning within our FCS program.
