    National Honor Society Pledge

    I pledge to maintain my high scholastic standing, 

    to hold as fundamental and worthy

    An untarnished character,

    To endeavor intelligently and courageously

    To be a leader, 

    And to give of myself freely in service to others. 

    In so doing, I shall prove myself worthy

    Of a place in the National Honor Society
     

    National Honor Society is a "society" of students who have achieved a 3.5 cumulative Grade Point Average (G.P.A.) and are incoming juniors or seniors. Teachers then rate qualified students on leadership, service and character.  Finally when you're accepted into the National Honor Society, you will be inducted at a special ceremony.

    To qualify you must also fill out a Student Activity Information Form, which will ask for the following information:

    • Co-curricular activities

    • Leadership Positions

    • Community Activities

    • Overview of course work

    Student must take or have taken the minimum NHS academic requirements:

    One year of a foreign language

    One advanced placement class

    Three science or four math courses or four science and three math courses:

    Math courses cannot include algebra

     

    ***Once you have submitted the Student Activity Information Form (SAIF), you have indicated that you are willing to have your name put before the NHS advisory board for consideration.***
